Position Overview:
As a Fisheries Technician at Aqua Sierra Inc.
, you will play a vital role in assisting with the management of lakes and ponds, with a focus on fish stocking and aquatic ecosystem health.
Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks related to fish stocking, water quality monitoring, habitat assessment, and data collection.

Key
Responsibilities:
Assist in fish stocking operations, focusing on trout fish stocking.
Conduct water quality assessments and collect samples for analysis.
Monitor aquatic habitats, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
Assist in the implementation of habitat restoration projects.
Perform fish population surveys and data collection.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement lake and pond management plans.
Maintain accurate records of activities and findings.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
Operate and maintain equipment necessary for fisheries management tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Aquatic Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of fisheries management principles and practices.
Experience with fish stocking, preferably trout, is a strong asset.
Familiarity with water quality monitoring techniques and equipment.
Strong observational and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Trailering experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
